Multi-state licensing 101

With the exponential growth of telemedicine, MSPs are finding that they need to add an extensive understanding of multi-state licensing to their credentialing "toolbox". Keeping up to date with the complexities of each state's requirements can be overwhelming. This session will provide a fundamental knowledge of licensing core concepts.

Objectives:  

1. Explain Core Licensing Concepts and Pathways: Participants will be able to differentiate between the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) and the Federation Credentials Verification Service (FCVS), as well as understand the distinctions between endorsement and examination-based licensing applications.

2. Navigate Continuing Medical Education (CME) Requirements: Participants will gain the ability to identify key CME requirements for license renewal across multiple states and understand how to avoid common pitfalls that could lead to compliance issues or licensing delays.

3. Implement Best Practices for Multi-State Credentialing: Participants will learn strategies for managing multi-state licensing complexities, including tips for avoiding common application errors and preparing for licensing audits effectively.
