This session will take participants on a journey starting from the initial stages of my career when I didn’t know what I didn’t know, the stumbles along the way and the surprising heights that all MSPs can reach.
The MSP role often requires taking on tasks that go beyond the job description. I will share the value of flexibility and willingness to embrace new responsibilities, which can lead to unexpected learning and growth. I will share stories about stepping out of my comfort zone allowing me to acquire new skills and knowledge, enriching my professional journey. I will highlight the importance of education, resilience, and agility, including my strategies to remain pertinent and innovative in our field.
I will open up about my own battles with imposter syndrome and share tools to turning this feeling into action. Despite the challenges and the often behind-the-scenes nature of the MSP profession, there is immense joy and satisfaction to be found. I will share the moments and accomplishments that have been most fulfilling and encourage the audience to seek out and celebrate the positive aspects of their roles, fostering a sense of pride in their contributions to healthcare. I hope to inspire my peers to be resilient, adaptable, positive and chase joy at every opportunity.
