Participants will learn key definitions, technology and HIPAA requirements, eligible provider types, location and originating site rules, and important regulatory updates that affect how telehealth can be delivered and billed. The session also covers practical steps for completing Medicare enrollment applications, including how to document practice locations, submit reassignment forms, and identify valid telehealth practice settings. By the end of the presentation, attendees will have a clear understanding of the requirements, flexibilities, and responsibilities involved in offering Medicare‑covered telehealth services, along with resources to stay current with federal updates.
Julie Schroeder is a Provider Outreach and Education Representative specializing in Medicare Provider Enrollment. She has more than twelve years of experience working with Medicare Part A and Part B providers and suppliers, supporting enrollment, reporting, and ongoing compliance with CMS requirements. Julie has extensive expertise in the Identity and Access (I&A) system, the Provider Enrollment, Chain, and Ownership System (PECOS), and Medicare enrollment policies and procedures. In her role, she educates and guides providers to help ensure accurate enrollment and successful participation in the Medicare program.
